Renjana Scarf and Shawl Pattern

If you have a lonely ball of fingering weight yarn and are bored of making socks or other accessories, make this one! A modern lacy scarf that doesn’t look too lacy and is still wearable. The lace stitch pattern is easily adjusted, so you can make it as a scarf or a shawl. There’s an option to add some tassels too!

Scarf: Approximately 7.6 x 67.7” / 19.5 x 172 cm
Shawl: Approximately 25 x 67.7” / 64 x 172 cm

 

MATERIALS

YARN
1 (2) skeins of Silky Merino Fingering by Papiput Yarn (50% mercerized merino, 50% silk, 437 yards / 400 meters per 100 grams, fingering weight).
I used the Ayana colorway for the shawl sample. Approximately 880 meters (195 grams) were used.

NEEDLES
One pair of circular or straight needles in size of US 4 / 3.5 mm.

NOTIONS
2 (6) stitch markers (optional), tapestry needle, large crochet hook.

GAUGE
Approximately 24 sts x 26 rows = 4 x 4” / 10 x 10 cm (lace stitch pattern).
Make a gauge swatch before executing the project to achieve the best-fitted measurements. Change the size of your needles if necessary.
